Visitors are welcome to explore the French and Spanish colonial sites of Charlesfort (1562-1563) and Santa Elena (1566-1587). In order to access the area, obtain a gate pass at the entrace to the Depot by showing a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. Start your visit at the Parris Island Museum on Panama Street.
